With a name that includes Luk, one would assume that a senior leadership position for this director was a given.

But it was skill, dedication and a desire to deliver exceptional client solutions, that has been the catalyst for Ms Luk’s ascendancy to the role of director at NDYLTK Rail.

Chi Ping Luk, known as CP amongst colleagues and clients, has been promoted to the position of Director and Sydney Office Manager for NDYLTK Rail.

“CP has been a driving force behind the success of NDYLTK Rail in both Melbourne and Sydney in her role as National Manager – Rail Systems,” says NDYLTK Rail Chairman of the Board, Ian Hopkins.

In her new role as Sydney Office Manager, CP will continue to be the most senior rail systems engineer in the firm, and adds to this responsibility the day-to-day operations of the Sydney office.

CP has 29 years industry experience in the UK, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia, across both greenfield and brownfield sites. She has acted as project manager in Hong Kong as well as in Australia and as technical advisor for the Taiwan High Speed Rail project.

Some of her recent Australian achievements have included significant works for Public Transport Victoria, Sydney Trains and the Road Traffic Authority.
CP is proud of her appointment but in true form, acknowledges there is too much to be done for savoring the moment.

“I was absolutely thrilled with the news of appointment by the NDYLTK Rail board,” says an ebullient Luk. “But the business of projects rolls on and we have many major works underway and soon to come online. These are exciting times for NDYLTK Rail.”

Whilst CP is getting on with the job, those who have met her know that luck has very little to do with her success.
